The Brooklyn Bridge, New York

One of the places most beautiful in the Big Apple and certainly one of the most photogenic. The Brooklyn Bridge has stood witness to countless events and moments, both real and theatrical. Read all about my day at this important monument!

One places that I wrote in my Moleskine when I began to plan my trip to New York was the Brooklyn Bridge. This bridge connects the neighborhoods of Brooklyn, where I was staying, and Manhattan.

So many pictures, so many movies, made it one of those places which could not be ignored. I got to the nearest subway station, in Brooklyn, it is Clark Station. I walked a few blocks and came to Brooklyn Park, that took me right to the great bridge.

I crossed the bridge to Manhattan. The bridge was divided into two tracks, one for pedestrians and other cyclists, the ride was awesome to see the amazing structure of the bridge arches and steel cables that held it.

In the middle was the story of the construction of the bridge, which was built in 1883. The sight of the skyscrapers of Manhattan was just like a movie and was awesome. The Brooklyn Bridge crosses the East River, which shows the beloved Statue of Freedom in background. It’s just a place not to be missed on a trip to New York.

I love the images and the contrast. I'm visiting in New York right now. I had already done the Brooklyn Bridge just in Spring this year and we didn't plan on returning this time. But now I see your photos and I know I need to do it. Thanks for these great images.
