I went to Java early this year, mostly central and east of the island. I'm just amaze by the woderful nature that you'll find in East Java. I'll feature 2 wonders of Java. the Brobodur temple near Yogja and Mount Bromo.
Barabudur or Borobudur temple is one of the 7 wonders of the world, its a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist monument near Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. The monument is both a shrine to Lord Buddha and a place for Buddhist pilgrimage. Evidence suggests Borobudur was abandoned following the 14th-century decline of Buddhist and Hindu kingdoms in Java when the Javanese convert to Islam. Borobudur temple in the morning is the best time to take pictures. Checkout the rays that came out from the corners of these stupas..
Mount Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger nature reserve, in East Java, Indonesia. Above sea level 2,329 metres (7,641 ft), not the highest peak compare to its neighbouring volcanoes. Mount Bromo sits in the middle of a vast plain called the Sand Sea and the sand is black, a protected nature reserve since 1919. The most common way to visit Mount Bromo is from the nearby mountain village of Cemoro Lawang. From there it is possible to walk to the volcano in about 45 minutes. We start our journey to Mount Bromo at around 4am to catch the sunrise. Its an amazing experience to get the best views of Mount Bromo to the Sand Sea below and the surrounding volcanoes are at sunrise. If you plan to go Mount Bromo early in the wee hour, don’t forget your jacket & gloves coz the temperature can reach down to 10 deg celcius :D
