The beaches of Ujung Genteng come together in a point so you can actually watch the sun rise on one side and set on the other. There are also the ruins of an old Japanese fort on one of the beach areas, set amidst white, powdery sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters.
The sightseeing in the area around Ujung Genteng is stupendous as well. Nearby Ujung Genteng are a sea turtle preserve, where you can watch the sea turtles lay eggs on the beach at night, and free the babies to the sea, several delightful waterfalls, and Ombak Tujuh (Seven Waves) surfing resort.
I spend my 2009 new year in here with my college mates. people said that this place has a great climate, great beach, friendly people, great food…and all of that were absolutely right. me and my frands were having a great time in here. we make a fire, grill some chicken, fish, corn etc etc…
This beach is quiet far from my hometown Bandung, it takes 10hour of driving outside the freeway, it’s a little bit exhausting. but it’s totally worthed to the bones, after we saw the blue sea of Hindian Ocean all the tiredness suddenly disappeared.
