May I introduce, the first "moving" LomoLocation - the Star Ferry & their services in Hong Kong Victory Harbour! There's plenty of opportunities to do some sight seeing but you have to be fast or you'll miss it as you're cruising down the water.
What can you buy with HK $3 in Hong Kong these days? Well, it could already be plenty enough for an whole afternoon’s happiness.
Established for more than a hundred years, Star Ferry’s ferry crossings at Victoria Harbour are acclaimed as an important part of the commuter system between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Even The National Geographic Traveler had named the ferry crossing as one of 50 places of a lifetime (Haha I believe this could also be one of the most affordable ferry trips in the world).
Crossing the Victoria Harbour has become one of the group memories of Hong Kong people I guess. Every time traveling on the Star Ferry, I prefer more the seat from non-air-conditioned areas. Cause this could be the most pleasurable moment to me, to enjoy the magnificent views from Victoria Harbour. Especially during the sunset hours, this is the view you would never forget!
Maybe you’ve seen a ferry with a classic retro look. It’s named “Shining Star” – which provides ferry service starting from Tsim Sha Tsui (Route: Tsim Sha Tsui – Cnetral – Wan Chai – Tsim Sha Tsui). There is indeed no better way to enjoy the great night views from Victoria Harbour. It is the perfect spot to enjoy “A Symphony of Lights” – firework show as well.
Beside from the general ferry services, the refurbished double-decker “Golden Star” is available for rent too. Thinking about to have a remarkable wedding ceremony/ birthday party with your friends and love one? Hey! That is certainly not impossible.
There are also quite many famous landmarks. Nearby there is the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier. e.g. The 5 Flagpoles, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Space Museum and the Stars Avenue.
