At the northern tip of Borneo, you see the South China Sea laying wide in front of you, horizontally. Uh-oh, not so horizontal actually. I actually saw it bended with the perfect angle from the west end to the east end, and it was the first time there's such a strong feeling telling me that I'm actually living, right now standing on a globe.

The sea was calm but the waves and winds were superbly strong. Next to the tip, there’s a beautiful beach with fine white sands lies along the road, but it’s quite deserted as almost everyone was only attracted by the spectacular view of the tip.

To go to the tip of Borneo, you must first go to Kudat. Kudat is a very small town, where most people just pass by there to go to the tip for another 20 to 30 minutes journey by car.

There are traditional longhouses for rent near the tip of Borneo for those who wish to experience the traditional lifestyle.

Sunset at the tip of Borneo is one of the best too, but the sky turns dark very soon after the sunset and it makes the road out to the town very dangerous as it’s not properly lighted with street lights.
