Wangfujing Street is famous not only for shopping, but also for its snacks. You can taste exotic weird eat items like scorpions, starfish, centipedes, beetles, silkworms, baby sharks all deep fried on a stick.
The Wangfujing Night Market has a selection of exotic Street food on the Snack Street. Deep fried insects, scorpions, and sea creatures can be found, along with other animals and animal parts not ordinarily consumed as food in the west.
Lots of exotic items on a stick including silkworm larva, beetles, scorpions, dragonflies, baby shark, fresh sea urchin, mantis Shrimp and starfish.
Sugar dipped fruit on a stick or Tanghulu is a sweet taste snack.
The chef puts some fruit on a skewer, and covers the fruit with melt sugar. When the sugar crystallizes, it turns transparent. It makes the tanghulu look nice.

Great night shots, and I'm not sure about eating bugs, but I do love seafood, and crustaceans are just underwater bugs, so I guess I shouldn't say no to a nice fried scorpion.

what camera did you shoot these with? The short depth of focus worked well on the tanglhulu!

Diana F+ loaded with Kodak ektar 100, and i used them with SLR macro ring flash for tanghulu.
I shot 4 secs long exposure, and shot ring flash soften light only at the first second. Anyway if i had a chance to shoot this picture again, i would shoot a flash twice, because i think this pic looks quite dark.
