Sunsets in Boracay are simply amazing! Each shot you take, regardless of what camera you use, is unique and breathtaking. This is my wonderful experience capturing Boracay sunsets and seeing them through plastic lenses.
I went to this wonderful beach to have fun, relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. For me, the highlight of the trip wasn’t the night life (which is what Boracay is famous for as well) but instead, I immensely enjoyed those several minutes as the sun retired for the day, signaling the vacationers to get the party started!
Normally, I would take pictures of the sunset using my digital cameras — but this time around, I only had my plastic cameras equipped. This is a new experience for me because I have had bad experiences shooting film under poor lighting conditions. I have never been happy with my results nor was I excited to shoot without the sun high up in the sky. But lo and behold, I was really surprised at how my rolls came out! I’m not sure if it’s the beach, or the cameras, or the expired film, but I’m starting to think that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to botch shots of the sun setting in this tropical island!
