A Symphony of Lights in Victoria Harbour

The cityscape at night along the Victoria Harbor is stunning in its own right, but A Symphony of Lights makes it even more spectacular. After wandering around the Avenue of Stars, we decided to look for a good location in the Victoria Harbor waterfront to watch the famous “A Symphony of Lights.”

Organized by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, A Symphony of Lights is basically a synchronized display of colorful lights, with accompanying symphony music in the background. There are various lighting effects included in the show, such as laser lights, LED lights, searchlights, and simple & projection lighting. Forty four (44) buildings on both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon participate in this 14-minute show. How cool is that! It’s pretty amazing how they’re able to coordinate the colored lights with the music.

Make sure to check it out when you visit Hong Kong. It’s free and starts at 8pm daily. For details, visit http://www.tourism.gov.hk/symphony/
