Lago Peñuelas National Reserve - A Chilean artificial Lake

A special place for a great rest and a good roast with friends - Lago Peñuelas is an artificial reservoir built between 1895 and 1900. It´s located on the route between the cities of Santiago de Chile and Valparaiso/Viña del Mar, to 20 kms. from Valparaíso (only half an hour from the city).

It is a wonderful alternative for people who enjoy to watch the birds, fishing, taking pictures or simply enjoy the tranquility of nature in a great place.

There is also a special picnic area to make good roast with friends and have a fun and quiet time.

This is my favorite place near home and I love being in the nature here. Peñuelas Lake is special to read a good book, listen to music or just catch up on some. I hope someday you can enjoy it.
