Albenga is a city situated on the Gulf of Genoa on the Italian Riviera, in the Province of Savona in Liguria, northern Italy.
The city has ligurian origins, became a roman municipium in the first century BC.
The historical center is one of the best preserved in Liguria region : It shelters medieval houses and plalaces, and many towers.
The heart of the city is Piazza San Michele, on wich the cathédral stands: structures of the eleven centurie survive in the lower part of the façade and from the thirteenth century in the upper part.
A few meters away stands an octagonal battistero of the 5th century.
But if you are not fond of historic and cultural buildings, you can walk along the narrow streets, taste the local wine and pastries, eat a pizza for half price than in France, and enjoy an Italian coffee at a terrace: Dolce vitta, what else to enjoy?
A few words about the pics : I took 2 cameras : my LCA+ and my brand vintage sx-70 : unfortunately, the film sensibility setting went wrong, and my pics are underexposed.
I was more fortunate with the Polaroid’s !
