In the alps - if you want to get from one valley to another - you have to drive through a tunnel. But if you want to have some nice and lovely pics on your rolls after crossing the mountains, enjoy a ride over a pass - for example the Flüelapass in Davos.
The Flüelapass is the connection from Davos to the world famous valley called “Engadin” (yes, the bling-bling-champagne-fur-caviare-and-billionaire-village St. Moritz is located there as well…). During wintertime the pass is closed because of the danger of avalanches. But during the “months without snow” the pass is very popular especially for motorcycles and tourists with motorhomes who do the route with the maximum of 25km/h…. At the weekends it’s almost like living next to a highway, so that’s why I prefer to go there during the week after work when the traffic isn’t heavy. Sometimes I’m a lazy ass and that’s why I take my car to get to the pass. The scenery is very impressive and it looks like a stone desert but for me it’s fantastic to be there, enjoying the silence and the landscape and breathe fresh air. Last autumn, me and my girlfriend (Lady Holga from HongKong) were there a few times, parked the car, took a short walk away from the street and then klick-klacked. This year, I’ve promised my second – and new – girlfriend, Miss Lomo from Russia, to take her there as well.
So it’s very recommendable – if you are one of these guys with a motorhome enjoying your holidays in Switzerland – to stop at a parking place and take your camera for some lovely pictures of the alps. And there are a lot of possibilities in Switzerland to do this. We’ve got no sea or beach but he have the impressive piles of stones, call “the Alps”.
