Also known as the highest point in all of Hong Kong, it's a must-visit for those who want to experience such great heights!
I recently took a break amidst all the hustle and bustle and wanted to take some time off for myself – and cool off for a bit in Hong Kong. Victoria Peak, more popularly known as ‘The Peak’ is definitely one of the places I’m anticipating to go to whenever I’m in Hong Kong, as it gives the perfect view of the city – one of the best facades in the world probably!
There are different means of transportation to the Peak (by bus, taxi or tram) – the first time I went was a pretty long 45-minute bus ride that toured us around the lush greeneries of the somewhat-rural/uninhibited parts of Hong Kong. Riding the tram straight up to the peak is definitely a must though – you get to see the whole city in a slightly off-angle view!
There are also tons of restaurants and novelty gift item stores inside the mall housed at the bottom of the Peak’s Sky Terrace (a special viewing deck with a minimal entrance fee). A pretty neat tip when planning to go visit the Peak when the fog levels in Hong Kong are low, so you can enjoy the best view in town and see the city’s great mixture of man-made and natural wonders!
