In the middle of the center, such a beautiful and calming place, I loved being there, walking around enjoying the sun.
The Kronenburgerpark is the most beautiful park of Nijmegen, centrally located in the oldest city in the Netherlands.
A place where local are proud of. It is close to the station and the Lange Hezelstraat. Where the park touches the Parkweg are the remains of the medieval walls of Kruittoren (the Powder Tower). The park, in a song sung by Frank Boeijen, was known as a hangout for prostitutes and drug addicts. After a major reorganization in 2005 the park has been the appearance of a peaceful, modern city park.
It was a sunny clear day with lots of snow. I had to do some shopping in the centre of Nijmegen and took my Diana with me. It was just delivered by the mail so I was quite excited. I remembered the Kronenburgerpark and it was the perfect spot to try out my new cam. In the middle of the center, such a beautiful and calming place, I loved being there, walking around enjoying the sun.
