Locally known as the Mandai Zoo, the Singapore Zoo already showcases a new way of jungle life by introducing the ‘open zoo’ concept. What more can you ask for?

Most common recreational spaces like the zoo requires lengthy walks and exposes you to sweltering heat and hassling humidity, especially in Southeast Asia. Fret no more, as the Rainforest welcomes you to the Kidzworld!

Within the skirts of Singapore Zoo lies Rainforest Kidzworld, a recreational water wonderland for kids of all ages! This special attraction embraced within the Singapore Zoo allows you and your family to enjoy water-filled activities like no other.

Truly a kid’s magical water fantasy, the Kidzworld spells F-U-N in many ways. The water play area introduces soft mats for kids to run around and play tag while different forms of water sprays showers you on the sides. There’s a play bridge with long water slides running from one side to another, climbing nets, grab poles and cute kid-bright colors surrounding the playground.

The highlight of this wonderland would be the big splash, where a HUGE bucket is slowly filled with water atop the play bridge area. You can see the anticipation on all the kids’ faces (and adults too!), as they wait for the final tip and showers the whole playground like a waterfall.

No worries if you weren’t able to bring your kid’s bathing suits or trunks, an in-house wet shop offers cheap and quick bath clothing for all ages… and there’s sunblock too! So the next time you visit Singapore Zoo especially during summer, prepare for the heat by bringing your hat, sun glass and water bottle – and yes, don’t forget to bring goggles and your lomo cameras too!
