Xochimilco is a very touristic place in Mexico. It offers exceptional views everywhere. There are a lot of markets where you can find all kind of flowers and plants. This is where you should buy some flowers for your mother, if you want to buy large amounts and cheap.
One of the most tourist attraction is the trajinera ride (Xochimilco boats covered with flowers), where you can spend an entire day through the canals with family or friends. There are always lots of boats selling Mexican food, pictures, mariachi songs, and a lot of things you can´t imagine. Some say Xochimilco is the Mexican Venice.
