Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in London.

Hyde Park is one of the largest parks in London and it’s very famous because of Speaker’s Corner which is a space where all people can talk, in group or alone, with no restrictions. This park has a large area of 630 acres (142 hectares), a perimeter of 4 miles and it’s located in the centre of London.

In Hyde Park there is a lake called Serpentine. It takes its name from its snakelike curving shape. The Serpentine was one of the earliest artificial lakes designed to appear natural and was widely imitated in parks and gardens nationwide.
This park has a lot of interesting places like the Diana, Princess of Wales’s memorial, London’s Holocaust memorial. The park has restaurants and cafes, a children playground and an educational centre where children can learn about nature. It’s a very nice place to do some exercise and sports, too. There people can cycle, walk and run. In Hyde Park we can notice a large diversity of animals and plants which make that place so special. It’s also been a place for some famous rock concerts, including The Rolling Stones (1969), Pink Floyd (1970), The Who (1973) and Queen (1976). When I went there I had a lot of fun because of Winter’s Wonderland which is a great event with a lot of rides, a giant wheel, restaurants, bars and a small stores too.
