Australia Day is a public holiday in Australia, a time where all Australians come together and celebrate being Australian. There are bbqs, cricket & some green & yellow.
Every year we have a chance to come together as friends and celebrate our Australian pride. I live in Perth in Western Australia, and every year in Perth the North Perth & South Perth foreshores are packed with people dressed in Australian flags and yellow and green face paint.
My friends and I chose the North Perth foreshore this year. It is cool walking past this foreshore seeing so many different cultures & ethic groups but all celebrating living in Australia.
What’s an Australia Day without fireworks! When 8pm hits the clock everyone is stopping what they’re doing and focusses their eyes on the river where a 30min fireworks show will commence.
Such a fantastic day.
