As the third largest city in the Netherlands it is most famous for its politics. It not only houses the Dutch seat of government, but also international organizations like the International Court of justice, International Crime Court and International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia giving the city its reputation as International City of Peace and Justice.
Next to politics The Hague has a wide variety of things to do and lots of festivals during the summer. Definitely try to make the yearly held biggest free festival in Europe, Parkpop, in the beautiful Zuiderpark!
