The Temple of Diana is located in the heart of Évora, Portugal. It is a Roman Temple built in the 1st Century B.C. and it is what is left of the city forum. It has been classified by UNESCO as World historical heritage.
The Roman Temple of Évora is also called as Temple of Diana, the goddess of hunt; it is a Corinthian style temple build in the 1st century B.C. by the Romans. In fact, this temple is the remains of the city forum, this was a temple dedicated to the Roman Imperial cult, it was named as Diana Temple by the population because it was inside the walls of a slaughter house when it was found.
The temple was built in marble and granite, surrounded by Corinthian columns placed around a podium. The front of the building doesn’t exist any more, only the sides and back columns are still up. Despite of that it is very well preserved. The temple is very impressive and a reminder of the Roman presence in Portugal.
The temple has a rectangular shape (15meters x 25meters x 3.5meters high) and it has been classified by UNESCO as World historical heritage. The camera used was Lomo Lc-a loaded with B&W Agfa APX 400 and Fuji Neopan 400.
