I went on a "sensory" field trip with my class to the Volcan Irazu in Cartago.
The days of October are chosen randomly, the weather is like a game of russian roulette. That’s why you should always have a sweater and a swimsuit in the trunk of your car. That day the weather decided we would be swallowed by fog, so that’s how it went. Be sure to always bundle up, the fog seeps into your clothes rather easily.
Next to the crater there is a field with small flowers perfect for a picnic. When you stood there and looked back, you saw white, when you turned to the front, you saw white, then you kind of just lost all sense of direction. I spent most of my time there and climbing the hillside to view the non-view. My eyesight could only see a mere 3 meters of what was in front, making it all the more fun. Sometimes though, the sun comes out and from there you can see both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
whoops I forgot to take a picture of the crater. maybe next time.
