A nice bar to have an aperitivo with your messenger pals.

The Circus Bar is situated on the Piazza Grand Madre. You have to cross the Po on the Vittorio Emmanuele 1 Bridge to get there. That was the first time I went there. This is a cosy little bar with a rasta b-boy barman. This was a Cinelli aperitivo. Cinelli is a fixed gear brand, so there was some riders showing their beautiful bike, taking pictures, discussing frame, grip, pedals, …

A DJ inside, but we were outside… this bar is too little, and we didn’t want to stay up in the middle. There’s a mini terrace in front of the bar with a heating to warm you on cold nights such as this one. Wait, it’s frozen out there, why they don’t turn on this beautiful machine?! My gin tonic is full of ice, damned!

But Champi’s vodka doesn’t have any, and he doesn’t like his vodka… Yippee! I’m gonna drink twice more to warm me up! And eat a little. In Torino, and some other towns in Italy, when you go to a bar around 7 you can find special happy hours.
They call that an ‘aperitivo’. You buy your drink a little more expensive than ordinary and the buffet is yours!! When you are broke you can still go outside with friends have a drink and eat something for 8€. On Wednesday go to ‘La Divina Comedia’ they make sushi’s, I also love ‘La Drogheria’ Piazza Vittorio Veneto, the buffet is just huge all the time.
Circus bar is great but a little bit far away…
