Heritage Village-Largo Florida

If your journey ever brings you to Florida, I would highly recommend Heritage Village for a stop.

We spent about 4 hours wondering around just enjoying the sites of all the old homes which by the way you can go inside almost all of them which is perfect for any lomo enthusiast :). One of the highlights of the trip was the old vintage store they have with products dating back to the early 19th century including rare Pepsi signs, bottles of lard, and vintage cash registers. Oh and the accordion player who sits out front playing some amazing songs was also a real treat. It was nice to see how folks used to live back then and how they treasured the simple things in life.

Florida is not just made up of sunny days, beautiful sunsets, and retired school teachers, we have a great amount of history that burrows off the beaten path. Recently we made a stop to Heritage Village which is located in Largo Florida. Sitting on top of 21 acres and more than 28 historic structures that date back to the 19th century like a school, church, sponge warehouse, railroad depot and much more. Heritage Village is free and open to the public Wednesday-Saturday 10a.m.-4pm
