Located on the eastern coast of Brazil, Vitória is a port city of Espirito Santo. Thanks to the beautiful beaches its a huge tourist spot in Brazil with towering hotels all along the coast of Vila Velha. The beach is very pretty, but I prefer the inner workings of the city watching people go about their daily lives.
Fresh fish and crabs from the mornings catches are sold on street corners and plenty of fresh fruits, such as pinapples and coconuts, can be found hanging from the trucks of wandering venders. All the food is wonderful (except for the combination of ketchup and mayonnaise that they put on their pizzas). The more common modes of transportation are motorcycle and bicycles, but be careful because they drive really crazy there!
I must say that my favorite part about this city, and Brazil as a whole, is the beautiful array of colors laid out in front of you. The buildings, clothing, cars and just about everything are colored with beautiful blues, reds, oranges, yellows and greens that are just spectacular. My one regret was not packing some slide film to be x-processed!
