Every year hundreds of kites fly up into the sky to celebrate the kite festival, it is truly eye catching.
Bristol may be famous for its Balloon Fiesta but this lesser known festival is no less spectacular!
The festival is held up on the hills of the Ashton Court estate every September. Hundreds of kites are flown over the weekend in every shape and size. They have synchronised stunt kite shows, kit fighting and huge novelty kites to mention just a few of the features. The bright colours against lovely blues skies are perfect for Lomo photography with something to aim your camera at in every direction.
I can highly recommend this festival for anyone with a love of wonderful colours and a day out in the English countryside.

Cool, and really great colors. I just missed the one of these in Chicago when I was visiting so getting to see this makes me feel a bit better.
