Six Flags Magic Mountain is famous for two reasons :
1. fast and scary rollercoasters and
2. being the final destination for the Griswald family in National Lampoon’s Vacation.
My wife and I were invited by a couple of friends to go to Magic Mountain to ride some rollercoasters. Neither of us had been, even though we live about 1.5 miles from the park.
Upon entering the park you are greeted by cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird, so that you can have your picture taken with them. Next you are given a map so that you can plan which route you want to take to get to all of the rides. We started off small by riding the log ride first (a nice cool down on a hot day), then we gradually worked our way up to more intense rides, with names like Colossus and Terminator. There are other things to do at Magic Mountain other than go on rides, like shopping, eating, and playing carnival games to win stuff animals and toys.
A few things to know before you go : You are best served to buy a season pass because the price for a one time admission and a season pass are about the same. Also, you will have to pay to park your car.
Overall, this is a great park with lots of fun to be had, if you want to spend your day screaming…. Enjoy!!!
