Imagine a place where the blue comes not only from the sky but from the water too. Yes, this amazing place offers an excellent view because it´s waterfalls and viewpoints. Located 69 kilometers away from Palenque, Agua Azul (blue water) is the name of this place because a high mineral content in the river that allows us to enjoy of these series of blue-watered cataracts.

There are about six stages during the tour where you can stop to buy for a few pesos a cold glass of coconut-water or even a couple of “empanadas”. Of course, pictures are a “must” here and Lomo cameras will thank you for taking them with you. At the top of the mountain, there is a designed area where you can take a little bath to refresh yourselves before going back. Misol-Ha, on the other hand, is the name of one particular waterfall. It has 30 meters tall and one of the most attractive things is that you can go walking and see it from behind. I recommend you to stand a couple of minutes on each viewpoint and feel the breeze the waterfalls make. Listen to all the water sounds and the jungle birds while you are relaxing. You just would not want to leave that place.
