Cruising On The Fun Ship, Carnival
written by sugiyamasatomi on September 5th, 2009 , 4 comments (5 votes)

For my first cruise, I chose a short weekend trip on the Carnival ship to Ensenada, Mexico from Long Beach, CA. It was very affordable, and cost me about $390/person including tax.

Here’s the itinerary for the trip.

14th (Fri) 5:30pm Long Beach, CA
15th (Sat) 9:00am-6:00pm Ensenada, Mexico
16th (Sun) All Day On the ship
17th (Mon) 9:00am Long Beach, CA

Since it was the middle of August, which is a very popular time to travel, it was a little pricier than other times, but I’ve seen a same plan, being sold for $199 plus tax! When I was booking my trip, I thought it was a little bit expensive, but once we were there on the ship, I realized how reasonable the price was! The price includes, of course, the transportation, room, and also every single meal you eat on the ship!!! Only thing we had to pay was, pretty much just alcohol.

They really thought of everything. There were swimming pool with water slide, ping pong table, miniature golf, gym, casino, bars, and whole bunch of beach chairs for you to relax! Everyday, they handed out the schedule for the day, which let us plan our day ahead of time. They had comedy shows, hairy chest contest, live music, and musical, all for free! My personal favorite was dinner…a fancy, tasty, dinner! Every night, they offered a three course meal, and I seriously did not expect the food to be so good! And the best part is, if you want more of, let’s say, lobster, they will bring you another plate!!! I really think people who work there are dedicated to make everyone’s trip as pleasant as possible! They certainly made mine pleasant:)

I think I went on the exact same cruise (Long Beach to Mexico) when I was in elementary school...!
