The Carita Beach, Indonesia

Located in West Java, Banten, Carita Beach is a great destination if you’re looking for a place not too far from the city. It takes about 3-4hours by car to reach this destination. The road to Carita might seem endless because you would be traveling in a straight direction, it’s better than a road which might require you to take left and right turns each kilometer. Along the way, you’d be passing by a lot of industrial sites, then suddenly a long stretch of resorts and villa’s. Feeling rich? Feeling poor? That’s not a problem, this place has a wide range of resorts offered at different prices, so don’t fret. To give you an edge to come here, nearby this beach has an active volcano known as Krakatau, it is still active to this day.

I headed to this beach with my Youth organization, stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Carita beach is very polite to us visitors, opening their arms wide open! We were able to do all kinds of activities on the beach such as team building games, recreation, and beach volleyball & beach soccer. No one minded what we were doing, and that made our stay even better. If you’re too lazy to leave the beach, you can find almost everything you need. Kiosks are located on the beach, you can have a drink, a snack, and even a whole meal can be prepared for you. Moreover, like any other tourist spots, you will have your share of pesky vendors. Such as henna artists, masseuse’s, jet ski/banana boat guys, etc. etc.

The beach is great, it has nice cream sands, and you can walk the endless beach. But (yes there is a but) the water is not crystal clear waters, but no worries; the water is great for a swim! I’d recommend this beach for your family and friends, it’s not far from the city, and the beach will satisfy your need for an escape. Carita beach is beautiful; these Indonesian beaches won’t disappoint you.
