One of the first stops of my summer road trip through South-eastern Mexico. This place is quite big, cool, and impressive (and they have crazy coloured jellyfish)
The Veracruz Aquarium is located in Veracruz (kind of obvious, isn’t it?) a beautiful city in the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
This is one of the main aquariums of Latin America, in it you will find lots of species from both fresh and salty water. They have a fishtank (a BIG fishtank) with cute, chubby manatees; another one full of sharks, one with turtles, some with goldfish or little fluorescent fish and there’s one huge, fantastic fishtank that goes around one huge room with sharks, stingrays, and big fish to which you enter through a tunnel under the fishtank (That’s fantastic, you get to see sharks and stingrays swimming ABOVE you)
You can also swim with sharks (but I didn´t get to do that because it didn’t fit in my budget since it was one of the many stops of a road trip I made this summer with a couple of friends) Basically this is a great fun place to visit (specially if you like fish or have children).
