This place is awesome, this is the best pizza I had in new york. It all feels so proper. You go in and the very nice man takes your order on the back of a plate that he serves single slices on. And then you wait. Sometimes you can be waiting a while. A Long while. Not on this Wednesday lunchtime though. We got our pizza in 20 minutes.
The beauty of it is that Dominic Di Marco makes all the pizza himself and you can watch him work his magic. He has been doing this for nearly 50 years so hes pretty good and knows a thing or two about pizza. Compared to other places like Grimaldis (average) and Co. (pretentious) Di Faras delivers exactly what you need and want, it is an institution and everybody should be institutionalized Now!
I am going back to New York in September and i cant wait to get a round pie with stuff on it. lots of stuff. Although i would recommend a slice with just cheese and tomato. Tasty
