This bridge is one of the oldest bridges in America. It was finished in 1883 after 13 years of construction. and connects Brooklyn to Manhattan. Its a very cool looking bridge made of stone and steel and sweat and brawn and other bridge things. Its the second big bridge I have walked across and its pretty cool that its higher than houses
We walked across this bridge on a glorious spring day. There was a light breeze and the sun was hot. I really enjoyed it. Just seeing people hanging out on the bridge including a women covered in blue spouting mambo jumbo about a summer goddess and a guy reading a book whilst reclining on the side of the bridge with a 4 meter drop on to traffic, not my perfect choice of reading place.
The cyclists are militant though, if you put one foot in the cycle lane they bark out “move asshole this is BIKE LANE!!!!!” A bit harsh I think. Some of them even speed up, I guess just so everyone gets really hurt. Apart from that there is a really nice vibe in the bridge and you can see loads of new york.
If you are going to walk across the bridge do it going from Brooklyn to Manhattan, the view is much better.
