Short but unforgettable sweet journey. Somaemul means tiny island, from 'so' which means little and 'Do' as island.
It’s a tiny island, called Somaemul-do where only 34 people are living now. Korean letter ‘So’ means ‘Little/Tiny’ and ‘Do’ means ‘Island’ so ‘Somaemul-do’ is ‘Little Island of Maemul’ It’s far from Seoul, capital of S.Korea almost 4~5 hours by automobile but many amateur/professional photographers visit there because of the beautiful scene & peaceful atmosphere. It’s a small place but very crowded for the holidays & summer vacation in Korea.
I spend there a great moment with an old Lomography friend in last autumn. If you’d like to stay there more than 1 night, lots of different residences are available in this island!
