This small wet market is a few blocks away from where I live. This market serves 3 hungry communities – Brgy. Tejeros, Brgy Olympia, and Brgy. Sta. Cruz. It opens as early as as 4:30 am so better be ready to have first dibs for freshest catch from as far as Baguio up north. Veggies, fish, meat and dry goods are readily available in this wet market. You’ll find almost anything in this “palengke” and the selling prices are way cheaper than the posh supermarket groceries around. But be sure not to go at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm – they’re closed. This short siesta time is usually observed by the early risers to rest, recharge, relax, watch TV and catch up with the other sellers. I come here for the fresh clams and mussels which I heartily put in my pasta.
