Our friends took us out the night of my boyfriend’s 21st birthday, right at midnight to be exact. We were overwhelmed by the immensity and variety found inside: what appears to be a tiny hole in the wall is actually 3 bars that all meet in one giant outdoor back patio, filled with rows of tables, a dance and live music area, mini bar stations, and games. The pool tables, darts and football tables are free, and if you have some change to spare you can also play air hockey.
The 3 bars consist of the “main” Irish pub, where they have huge celebrations on the 17th of EVERY month and drawings for free trips to Ireland; the Bomb Shack, where they exclusively make bomb drinks such as Irish Car Bombs or Drunk Gummies (my favorite is the Pacman, made of orange vodka and orange juice, which tastes so good that I want to sip it every time I get one, but don’t for fear of being shunned; they are BOMB drinks, after all!); last but not least is the martini bar, where classy art hangs on the walls, and another pool table and dance floor can be found. I ordered a mint martini at this last bar that was so hardcore it even had fresh mint leaves right in it!
This is a cool place to meet up with friends at, especially since you can get bored of one bar and move on to another without actually having to go to a different location. It has only been one short week since I have been born again 21, and I have already met up with old friends, established a feeling of comfort, and created such good memories at this place, that I can safely say it is one of my favorite bars!
