Mumbai is the economic centre of India and the capital of the colourful and crazy movies in hindi but has also the biggest slum of Asia. It’s a multicultural city where everybody takes part to the daily life. You can spend a calm day watching a cricket match in Oval Maidan or looking the colonial and art-déco buildings but then you can get lost in a chaotic bazaar full of India.
The guys that remain in the touristic district of Colaba, maybe to take the first bus or train to move in their great journey in India, take in mind that they will see just a small part of what Mumbai has to offer. If you spend a couple of days to hang around the streets and district you will discover that Mumbai knows how to break your heart. Start from the gateway of India, Colaba market, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus also called Victoria Terminus, Oval Maidan to see and learn how to play cricket, then Marine Drive and Chowpatty beach, but do it slowly everything will run around you.
Don’t forget the Chor Bazar “the thief market” and Mutton Street if you are able to zigzag millions of car and people.
From Mumbay you can take the central railways (Victoria Terminus) to go to south and east and the western railways to go to north and start again your trip to the incredible India.
What else, go and tell me…
