This is really awesome bar and music venue and it is one of Baltimore’s Hidden treasures. However it sure doesn’t look like it from the outside, it is like a hidden gem. The Ottobar is an old and plain looking building on a relatively busy old neighborhood with boarded up buildings down the street and row homes on the other side. The place is in two sections with the sound stage on the first floor and the lounge on the seconded floor with great drinks, and you can even catch a game of pool while you listen to local DJs.
The Ottobar is a great place to hear and watch local artist and their website even has a gig request form for anyone wanting to play there. The scene is almost underground with great rock, punk, electronica, jazz, indie music, and dance party night. There are nights that feature battle of the cover bands from The Cure, Depeche Mode, and New Order.
