Around the pier is where the action is: there’s various restaurants and bars, both on the promenade and directly at the beach. This is also where the big events take place, like big fireworks in summer.
If you’re not a fan of big crowds and like it a bit more quiet, walk up north and you’ll soon find yourself on a beautiful beach almost all to yourself (i was there in on a Saturday in June and there was hardly anyone else!); you can also take great walks through the dunes and take some beautiful shots there (just stick to the paths!).
The best thing is that Scheveningen is really close to the city center of The Hague, you can just hop on a bus or a tram and it’ll take you there in no time. So it’s the perfect place to combine a beach holiday with a city-trip!
