Kubik

The Kubik is what it is called. Like a Sausage is a Sausage, a carrot is a carrot, the kubik surely consists of square boxes. The special treat here is, that these boxes are iluminated and the surrounding instalation of a club on the road. The best DJ´s want to part of the experience because the water-tanks fade in and fade out, gloom and darken according to the beat. Right now the Kubik is in Hamburg at the Brandshof.

A abandoned industrial area in the south of the metropolis. Pretty much comparable to Wlliamsburg in NYC, i would say. All the light-blocks are placed in a massive storage hall. It is so big, that you can either jump on the dance floor or search for a silent, cosy corner to rest from the exhaustion of partying. The creators have a real license for partying, so everything is far from being underground. There are doormen, barkeepers and everything. The entrance is with 8 Euros quite a lot, but you don’t need to experience the mix of visual and musical ecstasy every day The kubik traveled quite afar already, it was in Portugal and Spain. During the winter it is stored away. In the summer in is on the road and maybe soon in a town near you. Until July it is in the Brandshof and I attached a link with the directions to this area close to the freeway up north.
