La Virgen Blanca - Meeting point

The Virgen Blanca square is the meeting point in Vitoria. It is placed between the medieval town and the neoclassic part of Vitoria. Rounded by white old houses, in the center of the square you’ll find a monument to the Battle of Vitoria (1813), one of the most importants episodes of the Indepence War against Napoleon.

In the last years, the square was only used by old people, vagabonds and junkies but in 2007, it was changed completely, changing from green grass to pavement. Maybe it was more beautiful before but now it’s full of life. Here a lot of concerts, events take place in the city being the real center of life in Vitoria.
