After the Lomo Meet-up, we said our goodbyes and ambled back through the still bustling park, the evening sunlight dipping before us as we headed for the exit. The people in the park were still enjoying their BBQ’s and get togethers under a late sun. Before leaving we were greeted by a fabulous sight, a traditional Steam fun fair, packed with rides, stalls, food and joyful screams! Of course we just had to finish off a fantastic day with a few sessions on these beautifully painted rides. Carters steam Fair travels around all the parks so keep your eyes open, it may be in your area soon.
Dodgems; wurlitzers; Steam boats; gondolas; stalls and lots of marvelous ‘junk’ to eat as we walk around. With the smell of fresh Oil paint and hot engine oil in our nostrils we looked for something to go on. After some rather generous time on the Dodgems, we filled up on Candy floss and doughnuts and headed for home. Lots of buses pass on the one way system around the park, so getting to it is not a problem.
