When thinking of Vietnam, one of my favorite movie named “We Were Soldiers” will always keep appearing in my mind. This film played a historical story about the Vietnam War. The Vietnamese soldiers were wearing the conical hat or “no’n ba`i tho”. This hat is the identity of Vietnam. Many local are always wearing it anytime, anyplace. This time, I’m not only gonna can watch them on TV, DVD, Blu-ray or in theater. But I can see them live! in front of me.

Alright, besides than the hat, there are much more unforgettable memory that we will never forget. One of the Lomographer named yunc, her family and I were flew over from Malaysia to Vietnam last February. We stayed at one of the 3 stars hotel, full coverage with Wi-Fi. This hotel named Golden Sun Hotel (www.goldensun-hotel.com) is located in the middle of Hanoi town. We’re not anyone from the big backpackers but we had a large group travellers. For a great convenience, we chose this hotel.

Hanoi is the town where it’s almost-fully crowded by a million of motorbikes! From the youngsters to old folks, from students to a beautiful office lady. Everyone rides a motorbike. And the streets were surrounding by a sound of honks in every seconds! Just imagine how happening is this place. After a few days traveling, we had know how to cross a roads without a traffic light and used to enjoy the non-stop honks.

I really love their lifestyle for sure. When the local are not on their bikes rushing here and there, they used to relax as well. They enjoying their food with coffee, chit-chat and sit on a small chair outside of their stalls, shops, house or even a roadside. And about coffee? Yes! Here come our best moment in Hanoi. We dropped by to one of the beverage stall and ordered the famous coffee. We joint the local to enjoy the relaxation moment sitting outside the stall. We took many photos here. At night, we came back here for only beers too! The beers are cheap in Vietnam if compared with Malaysia. Besides than drinking at the roadside, we were also went up to the rooftop’s seats in one of the bar for supper and beers each nights until we had become a friend with the waiters & waitress there. On this spot, we can enjoy the marvelous skyline of Hanoi town. Catching up the movement spotlights, surrounded by the street lights. We, as a Lomographers will never forget our cameras too each time. Let the photos & video/slide shows tell you more stories.
