University of Vigo

This article refers to the Campus of Vigo, particulary to the Campus Lagoas-Marcosende. It is about 10 km from the city center, occupying the border of the towns of Vigo (parish Zamáns) and Mos. It houses all the administrative units of the university after being moved from the old building, in the town of Vigo.
Located on a hill near the city of Vigo, from which, if time permits, you can see the Ria de Vigo, Cies Islands and a good piece of this beautifull land. Being in a place so high, the time is not usually mild, and wind and fog often occur first in these places. If the snows appears in these latitudes, it is safe here! To get from any point, we must always follow the signs for “Universidade de Vigo”, sometimes called UVIGO. We are very near the airport of Vigo (Peinador), the town, the bus station and train, even can be reached by sea to Vigo! (in this case, we must have plenty of money to have a yacht …)
For students, instead of “campus” should have called “montus” University. Yes, yes, as it seems, it is in the middle of the mountain!
Almost all the buildings were newly built, very modern, developed by a famous study of architecture of Catalonia. His approach and his city are final appearance by the architect Enric Miralles. Today, he isn´t with us, but the works continues to expand these facilities.
It combines perfectly the granite and the trees of the environment with the steel and concrete. I already finished my college years ago, but I still enjoyed walking around my campus, with my cameras, of course!!.
