A couple of the edgiest parts of Toronto. For shopping, exploring, dining and taking photos; Queen St. West and Kensington are a couple of the best places in Toronto to do so.
With many obscure small stores filled with knick knacks… and every type of restaurant you can think of (including McDonalds… sadly) it is not boring to explore this part of Toronto. It’s not too touristy and many of the stores open at a reasonable hour (11pm). Including a few cannabis culture shops, prom dress boutiques and stores with wall to wall converse shoes.
Visit the black market on Queen St. West and fulfill your vintage craving or Fashion Crimes, closer to Spadina and be bedazzled by the wall to wall dresses, glitter and chandeliers. Stop by and eat at a typical sushi bar or pick one of the more high class restaurants that this area has to offer. Maybe have an espresso at Lettieri or sit down for a Caramel Machiatto at Starbucks.
These areas have the obscure and the familiar mixed into one. And I guarantee you will never be bored. As a born and raised Torontonian, I am proud of this area of Toronto.

Cool location, I like such kind of "hidden/unknown" places in big cities... and your shots show it well! :)))
