Arbroath is a small town on the east coast of Scotland, best known for the ‘Arbroath Smokie’ – haddocks smoke in a very particular way, and very tasty. Nowadays very little fish is caught by boats based here, and with not a little effort the harbour is being transformed into a ‘marina’ for yachts and cruisers.
Enough activity still goes on to make it a worthy destination for Lomographers. If you’re lucky you could see the lifeboat on manoeuvers, there’s an active boatyard, lots of yachts and boats of all descriptions and a thriving community of lobster fishermen with their paraphernalia. Oh, and the place is crawling with seagulls – always a favorite subject! On a good day, the light quality is as good as it gets, making it – i think – one of the best destinations in Scotland for Lomographers.
