From here, the West Midlands is your oyster!
Bearwood is the area of Birmingham in which I live, and the best way out of Bearwood (if you don’t have access to private transport) – catch a bus from Bearwood Bus Station. It’s at the end of my road, and from there the world (well, the West Midlands) is your oyster.
Obviously you can get a bus to Birmingham, but these babies head off in all directions. Among the exotic destinations are: Oldbury, West Bromwich, Halesowen and Dudley. But probably the most exciting destination (whisper it, for it may only be a legend) is… Drayton Manor Park and Zoo!!!
This location is best photographed with a vintage camera to emphasize its homely old fashioned nature, although you should remember that all the time you’re photographing it, it’s photographing you too with its newly installed CCTV…
