A trip to this small village might be your best day trip from Lijiang. The village is inhabited by Naxi minority, which comes from Tibetian tribes and are socially characterized by stron matriarchs elements. In XIII-XIV centuries Baisha was the capital of the Naxi kingdom. Today it is a hospitable place with several options for modest touristic eating and accommodation.
