Mons, The Charms of A Village in The Provence
written by vicuna on May 10th, 2009 , 7 comments (7 votes)

Following the road down to the valley coming from Bargeme, we went through a beautiful village, a bit less higher than the previous one, but still on an impressing peak of 814m height! the whole village is surrounded by the ancient walls of a fortification and has preserved the charms and beauty of such old medieval places. The origins of the village goes back to the 10th century and has a nice church from the 12th century.

As it is located on a peak, the view over the area is impressive, as are the narrow streets where it is so pleasant to get lost and discover some new things at every corner. If you have a look at the top of the doors, you can see that there are some very old buildings and the whole place is very charming. And of course, if you went to spend a bit more time there, the nature around offers you plenty of possibilities to walk, explore and admire the beauty of this area.
