Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai is the highest mountain in Thailand. Because of its height the weather is cool all year. Atop of the mountain is very humid. In winter the temperature is below Zero Degree Celsius. There are the great “Holy Relic Pagoda” here. One Nabhamethanidol and Nabhapolbhumisiri. That pagoda to honour the 60th birthday of King Bhumipol and Queen Sirikit, King and Queen of Thailand.
The view up here is very delight feel. Flowers around the pagoda area bloom through December to February. From downtown Chiang Mai you can drive to Doi Inthanon about 1.5-2 hours. There are many attractions on the way such as waterfall, Royal Project Research Station and best place for birds watching.
