Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and the 21st largest in the European Union. It forms part of an industrial area on the Costa del Azahar. Valencia is well known for its Architecture, Squares and gardens. One of the most impressive sites is The Hemispheric at the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) by Santiago Calatrava. It’s an amazing piece of modern architecture, simply stunning – has a very futuristic feel to it.
Valencia has a very changeable climate, with hot dry summers, mild humid winters and stormy autumns and springs. The city is easy to access on foot and you can lose yourself wandering about its small twisting streets. The food is glorious and good dining is easy to find. I enjoyed very much the traditional tapas food on offer, the local beer tastes mighty fine and I wish I could remember the name of it!
A great place to see and explore and you wil need plenty of film to make many many lomo images!
