From KL, we drove down to Putrajaya on 21st March 2009. The 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, and being lomographers, how could we miss this opportunity to shoot at this event!!
We were early, so we drove around Putrajaya and visited the famous Putra Mosque. Seriously huge!! Facing the scenic lake, the view of the mosque from afar is already a shot to capture.
After that, we headed down to Precinct 2, where the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is held. To our disappointment, the hot air balloons were not up yet. However, to our delight, there were other events happening. Events like kite flying, remote aircraft display, Para-motors, great events to capture on film as well. And finally, the hot air balloons were slowly brought up. It was so much BIGGER than we have expected!! A great display indeed. Though, I felt the reason I enjoyed myself was because of the company. Thanks the guys in Lomo Malaysia for welcoming and allowing us (from Singapore) to join them in this event. :D
Since it’s the 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, I’m pretty sure there’s more to come.
